What does this data set describe?

    Title:
Aerial Survey Maps from Brown Marsh Surveys of Coastal Louisiana
    Abstract:
Monthly aerial surveys were conducted using a US Geological Survey-National Wetlands Research Center fix-winged amphibious aircraft. Aerial Surveys were conducted in southeast Louisiana in June, August, September, October and January and in southwest Louisiana in August and October. Transects were repeated for each flight. A general color (Brown, Brown-Green, Green-Brown, and Green) was assigned to an area of marsh directly beneth the wing of the aircraft at 5 second intervals. When the color was assigned, the designation of health was recorded along with a longitude and latitude to show location. The pilot and a observer were both making observations on thier respective sides of the plane and data were recorded on a laptop. The data was then imported into ArcView GIS and plotted.
